The Potential Benefits of Beeswax and Honey
Protectant: Beeswax, when blended into skin lotions, forms a barrier on the surface of the skin and is said to provide a film of protection against irritants while still allowing the skin to breathe. The Mayo Clinic recommends using a beeswax-based lip balm during cold weather to reduce your chances of developing chapped lips.
Skin Healer: Combined with other ingredients, beeswax adds body to skin care products, making creams thicker. Like other beehive products, including honey and royal jelly, beeswax may offer anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antiviral benefits beneficial for treating minor skin irritations.
Skin Softener: Beeswax acts as an emollient, softening and smoothing the skin. Beeswax also contains vitamin A, which may be beneficial in softening and rehydrating dry skin and in cell reconstruction.
Antibacterial: Honey and beeswax mixtures have been scientifically shown to inhibit the growth of bacteria and fungus, making beeswax, along with honey, potentially beneficial in the treatment of bacterial skin conditions.

Our soaps are made with all natural ingredients: spring water, pure vegetable oils,
essential oils, fragrance oils, honey and beeswax. And each bar is labeled
with all the ingredients so you always know what it contains. All our soap
bars are a generous (4.8 to 5 oz. - much more than the usual 3.5 oz. or so that you
generally find at boutiques and shops) ) and long-lasting.
